The direct and reverse blocking voltage (VDRM \/ VRRM) must be at least 20-30% higher than the circuit peak voltage. The average current (IT(AV)) and the overload current (ITSM) determine the thermal resistance of the component under actual operating conditions.<\/p><p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">For fast-switching applications, the deactivation time (tq) is the decisive parameter: the shorter it is, the higher the switching frequency can be.
